Cosmetologist Sentenced After Tragic Death Of Kim Kardashian Look-Alike Model

In an unsettling turn of events, a California cosmetologist faced justice this week after being convicted in a tragic case involving a Kim Kardashian look-alike model. Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, was sentenced to four years in prison by San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Leland Davis after being found guilty of felony involuntary manslaughter. The charges stemmed from the untimely death of OnlyFans model Christina Ashten Gourkani, who suffered fatal consequences following a botched cosmetic procedure.

Gourkani, a 34-year-old model from San Jose, was admired by her half a million Instagram followers for her striking resemblance to reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Known for her glamorous posts, she had sought the expertise of Gomez to enhance her appearance further. Unfortunately, this quest for perfection turned fatal when she underwent an illegal gluteal silicone injection – a procedure meant to enlarge her buttocks but not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

On April 19, 2023, Gourkani met with Gomez in a Burlingame hotel room for the procedure. Tragically, she became gravely ill soon after and succumbed to respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism the following day at Mills Peninsula Hospital. Judge Davis emphasized Gomez's active role in causing the model's death, underscoring the severe consequences of unauthorized cosmetic practices.

As the legal proceedings drew to a close, the cosmetologist's mugshot, taken by the Broward County Sheriff's Office, marked a sobering reminder of the dangers associated with unlicensed cosmetic procedures.
