In a bizarre twist of modern-day interactions, a Central Florida man has been arrested following a troubling exchange with an internet model on the popular platform, OnlyFans. The incident unfolded when the model reported receiving unsettling messages from 41-year-old Rickey Collins.
Collins had initially purchased intimate photos from the model, offering a ring as payment. However, the transaction took a dark turn when Collins demanded the return of the ring. The model, feeling uneasy about meeting in person, suggested a neutral drop-off location, but Collins insisted on a face-to-face exchange.
The situation escalated when the model refused to meet Collins, prompting him to send a menacing photo of himself holding a firearm. He threatened to appear at her residence within minutes, leaving the model fearing for her safety.
Law enforcement swiftly acted upon the model's report, tracking Collins down to a bar in Winter Haven. He was arrested by Polk County Sheriff's deputies and faces charges of Aggravated Stalking and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. Additionally, Collins had an outstanding warrant in St. Lucie County, compounding his legal troubles.
“I just wanted to feel safe again, and I’m relieved he’s been caught,” the model reportedly shared after Collins' arrest.
This incident highlights the potential dangers that can arise from online transactions and interactions, reminding us all of the importance of safety and caution in digital engagements.
