Canandaigua Woman Charged For Allegedly Hiding Onlyfans Earnings

In a scandal that's turning heads, a Canandaigua woman is in hot water after being accused of keeping her OnlyFans income under wraps while receiving public assistance. The woman in question, 34-year-old Shameika Brown-Junious, was arrested on July 17 following a tip-off and subsequent investigation by the Ontario County Department of Social Services.

Brown-Junious is facing a slew of charges, including seven counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, third-degree welfare fraud, and third-degree grand larceny. Investigators claim that between January 4, 2023, and June 30, 2026, she failed to disclose income earned from the popular content subscription service, OnlyFans.

According to the authorities, if Brown-Junious had reported her earnings, she would have received $17,656.58 less in Temporary Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. As the case unfolds, she remains in pre-arraignment detention, awaiting her day in Hopewell Town Court to address these charges.

"This case serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency when receiving public benefits," remarked a spokesperson from the Department of Social Services.
