CM Punk, the WWE heavyweight with a silver tongue and killer in-ring moves, is no stranger to fan adoration. Known as 'The Second City Saint,' he’s built a loyal following over the years, often taking time to chat and snap pics with supporters at live events. But not every interaction is a walk in the park, and a recent encounter in Glasgow left the star visibly rattled.
Back in March, ahead of WrestleMania 41, Punk was mingling with fans after his segment at a packed WWE show in Scotland alongside Cody Rhodes. What should’ve been a fun meet-and-greet took a sour turn when an unexpected gesture caught him off guard, sparking outrage among his fanbase.
Enter Morgan Moore, an OnlyFans sensation with a massive online presence - over 400,000 followers on X and 50,000 on Instagram, to be exact. She was among the crowd in Glasgow, eager to get a moment with the wrestling icon. But her enthusiasm went too far when she placed her hand on Punk’s lower back without consent, startling the star as they posed for a photo.
A viral video clip captured the awkward moment, showing Punk clearly uncomfortable as he politely but firmly asked her to step back. Fans were quick to jump to his defense, flooding social media with calls to ban Moore from future WWE events, no matter the promotion. One TikTok user, jaffa1404, even shared a clearer angle of the incident, fueling the firestorm further.
“I had no idea there was a rule against touching wrestlers, but I get it now - some fans’ hygiene is questionable! I apologized right away for being too forward while trying to get that pic,”
Moore later explained on X, clarifying that she meant no harm and had expressed regret on the spot.
The WWE community didn’t hold back after the clip spread like wildfire. Many slammed Moore’s actions as disrespectful, arguing that personal boundaries should always be respected, celebrity or not. Some even questioned why she thought it was okay to get so close without permission, with hashtags and heated comments dominating platforms like X.
For her part, Moore tried to clear the air with her public apology, admitting she overstepped while trying to snap a photo on her phone. While her statement aimed to cool tensions, it’s unclear if the wrestling world - or Punk himself - will let this slide so easily.
Meanwhile, CM Punk has bigger battles to fight - literally. Earlier this month at SummerSlam, he clinched the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther, only to lose it minutes later when Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions!
But Punk isn’t down for the count. He’s gearing up for a shot at redemption in a Fatal 4 Way match at Clash in Paris on August 31, facing off against Rollins, Jey Uso, and LA Knight for the coveted title. Will he reclaim the gold, or will this fan incident linger as a distraction? We’re on the edge of our seats!
