In a rather unsettling case that has captured attention, Sanjay Wygold from Telford's Woodrows, Woodside neighborhood, found himself behind bars after a shocking discovery by law enforcement. In March 2023, Wygold received a caution from West Mercia Police when they found he had downloaded 109 indecent images of children. But the story didn't end there.

As part of his caution, Wygold was placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), a measure requiring him to regularly submit his devices for police inspection to ensure compliance. However, as revealed in Shrewsbury Crown Court on October 30, Wygold's attempts to skirt these conditions became evident when officers visited him in June 2023. "Prohibited images" featuring cartoon animals engaged in sexual acts were discovered on his devices, putting him in breach of his SHPO, according to prosecuting attorney Mr. Dylan Wagg.

The situation escalated when sexual harm prevention officers conducted a follow-up visit to Wygold’s residence in December of the same year. This time, the discovery was far more disturbing; officers found several images and films of children, some as young as four, being sexually abused. This grim evidence underscored the severity of Wygold's offenses and ultimately led to his sentencing.
