It seems Singaporeans are not only diligent workers but also know how to indulge in some intriguing online entertainment. The city-state has impressively clinched the fifth spot in a list ranking Asia-Pacific cities by their expenditure on the popular subscription-based platform, OnlyFans. According to a recent report, Singapore shelled out over US$44,000 (S$57,000) per 10,000 people. This spending feat places Singapore among the esteemed ranks of the "Asian tigers," which includes powerhouse nations like South Korea and Japan.
The insights come from OnlyGuider's OnlyFans Wrapped 2025 report, a comprehensive analysis that uses subscription prices, creator earning trends, and platform growth metrics to chart spending across various cities and countries. While Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne lead the pack, Singapore's position is notable as the sole Southeast Asian city to break into the top 20 globally, even surpassing cosmopolitan hubs like Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Shanghai.
"Singapore's ascent in these rankings highlights a cultural shift where digital content consumption, even the controversial kind, is becoming mainstream," an entertainment analyst commented.
While Singapore's standing is impressive, it ranks just below Malaysia in the broader Asia-Pacific country rankings, securing the 10th spot. Australia dominates the list, with a staggering expenditure of over US$236,000 per 10,000 people, followed by India and Thailand. The report not only highlights spending but also maps global consumption patterns on the platform, which is primarily used for sharing explicit content for a fee.
Singapore's unexpected rise in the OnlyFans scene reflects broader trends in global content consumption and the increasingly digital nature of entertainment.
