Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards’ daughter, Sami, is charting a path of her own, blending creativity with the boldness she's inherited from her famous parents. Recently, the 18-year-old revealed her aspirations to become a director and write a screenplay – a testament to her creative ambitions beyond her recent OnlyFans venture.
During a lively Instagram Stories Q&A on June 13, Sami candidly shared, “I wanna be a director & write a screenplay.” Her openness didn't stop there; she also addressed curious fans about her single relationship status and spilled the beans on her parents' reactions to her joining the subscription-based platform.
“Yes & my mom is extremely supportive :)” Sami confirmed when asked if her parents knew about her OnlyFans account.
As Sami takes control of her career, she’s been navigating the contrasting responses from her parents. Her mother, Denise Richards, a former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, wholeheartedly embraces Sami’s choices, commenting on one of Sami’s posts, “Sami I will always support you & always have your back. I love you.”
However, Charlie Sheen, the Two and a Half Men alum, expressed his reservations in an exclusive with Us Weekly. While acknowledging Sami’s adulthood and independence, he noted, “This did not occur under my roof. I do not condone this but since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity.”
Sami’s relationship with her parents has seen its ups and downs, marked by periods of tension and reconciliation. In 2021, she described living in a "trapped and abusive home" while with her mom and stepfather, Aaron Phypers. This led to her moving in with Sheen full-time and leaving school.
Despite these challenges, Denise has shared her hopes for healing, stating on the “Jeff Lewis Has Rules” podcast that their bond is "strained" but expressing optimism for the future. The silver lining appeared when mother and daughter celebrated Mother’s Day together, showing signs of mending familial ties.
As Sami embarks on her journey towards a career in directing and screenwriting, she seems determined to forge her own identity, with the support and watchful eyes of her parents.
