In an endearing confession, Levinson revealed that Sweeney had just one request for her character in the new season. "Before I wrote this season, she called me, and she said, ‘Just do me one favor: Make sure Cassie’s crazy.’”

"We always talk about the layers of irony in the show. I adore Sydney, and she’s so much fun to work with," Levinson shared, highlighting the depth and complexity they aim to bring to the series.

Levinson added with a smile, "You don’t often see a girl that beautiful be that desperate, and I think it’s that combination of her desperation and need for validation that makes the character so brilliant."

Amidst the excitement, Levinson also touched on a somber note, expressing his grief over the loss of Angus Cloud in 2023. Cloud, who captivated audiences as a drug dealer on Euphoria, tragically passed away from a drug overdose. Levinson had been close to Cloud, supporting him through his struggles with sobriety.

The third season of Euphoria is set to premiere on April 12th, and it promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions. Beyond Cassie's storyline, viewers will see Zendaya's Rue grappling with debt to a drug dealer, Hunter Schafer's Jules pursuing art, Alexa Demie's Maddy dreaming of becoming a talent agent, and Maude Apatow's Lexi working as an assistant to Sharon Stone.
