A Palm Coast man, Robert Lamb, finds himself in hot water after being accused of leveraging artificial intelligence to create disturbing images involving children. The 38-year-old was arrested following an exhaustive months-long investigation that began with a tip-off from the popular content platform OnlyFans.
According to authorities, it all started back in January 2025 when OnlyFans' parent company, Phoenix International Limited, alerted the Flagler County Sheriff's Office about suspicious activities. Investigators were informed that Lamb was allegedly modifying photos of young children, some as young as seven or eight, to create and share illicit images.
“Unfortunately, you have to work with private companies, get subpoenas, and analyze all the data,” commented Sheriff Rick Staley, expressing gratitude for the diligent efforts that led to the arrest.
Through persistent detective work, Flagler deputies initiated their probe in May. By June, they were deep into reviewing Lamb's OnlyFans account. And finally, in October, they managed to secure critical files that provided the evidence needed to charge him.
Lamb is now facing serious legal consequences. He has been charged with five felony counts of possessing child pornography and is being held on a $50,000 bond. Sheriff Staley emphasized the importance of parental vigilance in monitoring what their children post online, as criminals can easily exploit such images.
The case highlights the darker side of technology, serving as a cautionary tale about the potential misuse of AI. Sheriff Staley also acknowledged Florida's proactive stance in providing law enforcement with the tools necessary to tackle such heinous crimes. This incident underscores the imperative for parents to stay informed and protect their children from digital threats.
