In a whirlwind of social media speculation, María Julissa, a renowned OnlyFans and Instagram model, has found herself at the center of a baseless rumor storm. The buzz began when an AI-generated image suggested she was involved with Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera Cervantes, the notorious leader of the New Generation Jalisco Cartel. Despite Mexican authorities not disclosing the identity of any woman linked to Oseguera, Julissa's name became embroiled in the controversy.
“I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that situation,” Julissa, who has 3.5 million followers on Instagram, wrote on social media.
The rumor mill churned fiercely on Spanish social media, with numerous posts claiming Julissa was a girlfriend of the slain cartel leader. However, she firmly denied these allegations, emphasizing the importance of relying on credible sources. "The information going around is false and lacks foundation," Julissa said. "I ask that you all not fall for fake news and always look to reliable sources and officials."
The controversy arose after Mexico’s Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla revealed that intelligence agents had tracked Oseguera through a romantic partner. Agents had discovered that this girlfriend was taken to Tapalpa, a picturesque retreat in Jalisco where El Mencho and his entourage were hiding. Although the woman eventually left the scene, the military's intervention led to a deadly clash, resulting in El Mencho's death.
Following the cartel leader's demise, chaos ensued across Jalisco and other regions, with over 70 fatalities, including 25 members of the national guard. Oseguera, once married to Rosalinda González Valencia, had been a key figure in the cartel world until his downfall sparked turmoil and violence.
