Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman recently found herself in the spotlight for a rather unexpected reason. While attending the New York premiere of her upcoming Apple TV+ series, 'Margot's Got Money Problems,' Kidman revealed she had no idea what OnlyFans was until her co-star Elle Fanning educated her about the platform. The actress, known for her roles in critically acclaimed films, admitted that despite her vast experiences, the world of adult content platforms was something entirely new to her.
“I didn't know anything about 'Only Fans' until this, and then Elle (Fanning) educated me and then I did my research. I'm like, oh, okay. But that's what's so cool about doing shows and artistically how you're constantly learning and growing and learning new things.”
Kidman's revelation comes amidst a year of personal and professional shifts. At the premiere, she marked her first work-related public appearance since her recent split from country music star Keith Urban. The glamorous event took place at the Regal Union Square Theater, followed by a chic reception at The Bowery Hotel. The series, set to premiere on April 15, features Kidman in a small role alongside stars like Michelle Pfeiffer, with Fanning taking center stage.
In 'Margot's Got Money Problems,' Fanning portrays Margo, a young single mother navigating the challenges of adulthood. The plot cleverly incorporates OnlyFans as a modern twist, reflecting generational shifts in attitudes and financial survival strategies.
After finalizing her divorce from Urban in January, Kidman is looking forward to a leisurely summer with her daughters, 17-year-old Sydney Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret. "We're going to go have some summer fun," she announced, expressing her desire to step back from professional commitments to spend quality time with her family.
But Kidman's fans need not worry about a long absence. She's currently filming the second season of the Prime Video thriller 'Scarpetta' with co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Bobby Cannavale. Plus, she's set to grace screens again in the sequel to the beloved 1998 film 'Practical Magic' alongside Sandra Bullock. Her executive producer role on the new Apple TV+ series also demonstrates her passion for being involved behind the scenes.
