Jacobs voluntarily appeared at the Hobart-Lawrence Police Station last Tuesday. He was subsequently detained at the Brown County Jail, facing five charges: domestic assault, domestic property damage, domestic disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and victim intimidation.

“We are very pleased that Josh was released from detention and that no criminal charges have been filed,” said Jacobs' legal team in a statement to the Daily Mail.

Investigation Still Ongoing

Despite his release, Jacobs has not been cleared of these allegations, and the investigation continues. The Brown County District Attorney’s Office has expressed that they are seeking further inquiries. David E. Lasie, the district attorney, stated, "Our office has requested additional investigations. We judged that there is a possibility of additional evidence, which could influence whether criminal charges are appropriate and which charges should be applied. The final decision on indictment will be made later."

Jacobs’ legal team remains confident in his innocence, urging the public to keep an open mind while the matter is thoroughly reviewed. "Once all evidence is collected and evaluated, we are confident it will be confirmed that no charges should be brought against Josh in the future," they added.

Josh Jacobs, known for his impressive athletic prowess, was selected 24th overall in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Since 2024, he has been a formidable force for Green Bay, signing a lucrative four-year, $48 million contract.
