Kerry Katona made waves on Good Morning Britain with a cheeky exchange that left co-host Ed Balls in stitches. The former Atomic Kitten star, who has turned her fortunes around with her OnlyFans account, playfully refused to give the former politician a "mates rates" discount on the adults-only platform as she arrived on the show alongside her daughter, Heidi.
In a delightful chat, Kerry addressed recent criticism over a TikTok video with Heidi, 18, that had raised some eyebrows. "I don't think it's fair to judge my daughter for my mistakes," she asserted, emphasizing that her parenting approach has always been, "do as I say, not as I do." In response to Ed's surprise about her OnlyFans success, she quipped, "Not giving you mates rates, Ed!" to which Ed humorously replied, "I don't need it, I'm already subscribed!" quickly adding that he was joking.
Susanna Reid, Ed's co-host, added to the fun by expressing her surprise, claiming she "must have been living in the wilderness" for not knowing about Kerry's digital ventures. When asked if responding to criticism only draws more attention to her actions, Kerry confidently stated, "Well, it just gives me more subscribers."
Kerry also opened up about her past, sharing how glamour modelling at 16 was her escape from a difficult upbringing. "I was in a foster home and that was my get out," she revealed. Reflecting on the industry's digital shift, she remarked, "You see more on Bridgerton and those kinds of things, but because I'm Kerry Katona, I get judged for it."
Despite the criticism, Kerry stands firm in her achievements and resilience. "I've been to the depths of hell," she declared, proud of her turnaround. "Regardless of the article, my problem is it's another woman. I am all about women supporting women."
Heidi, too, voiced her support for her mother, dismissing claims that she revels in her mother's earnings. She clarified, "I was quite shocked because I don't think what she wrote was true. I know my mum, she's an amazing parent."
