Kerry Katona, the vibrant former Atomic Kitten singer, recently shared a raw and candid update with her fans from an unexpected location – a hospital hallway. In a video clip posted on Instagram, the 45-year-old revealed that she was admitted to the hospital and, due to overcrowding, was left to make do with a bed in the corridor.
Reflecting on her ordeal, Kerry commented, “It’s ten past two in the morning and I have been in hospital since yesterday.” The singer, who looked visibly tired, gave her followers a glimpse of her current situation by showing the cannula inserted in her arm and her makeshift sleeping arrangement.
“It’s very full, so full, unfortunately, I’m on a bed in the hall. I have something called colitis… something to do with my bowels. So it’s been… s***, excuse the pun.”
Colitis, the condition Kerry is currently battling, involves inflammation of the colon and rectum. It's a challenging ailment, as symptoms can vary from mild discomfort to severe flare-ups, causing significant pain and inconvenience. Those struggling with colitis may experience painful and swollen joints, mouth ulcers, irritated skin, and even eye redness.
Kerry reassured her fans, adding, "I’ve not slept since not yesterday but the day before. I’m in the right place.” Despite the discomfort, she remains optimistic about receiving the care she needs.
Kerry's latest hospital admission comes on the heels of her appearance on Olivia Attwood’s show, "Getting Filthy Rich," where she opened up about her successful venture into OnlyFans. Known for her candidness, Kerry has never shied away from discussing her lucrative earnings on the platform, reportedly making a staggering £175,000 in her first month.
Adding a twist to her story, Kerry also divulged an unexpected friendship with politician Nigel Farage. She jokingly mentioned, “Nigel Farage texts me now and then. Of course he f****** does. I bet he used to love a page 3 back in the day. Maybe he wants a discount.” Such revelations keep her fans entertained and engaged, even during trying times.
Through her ups and downs, Kerry Katona continues to captivate audiences with her resilience and unapologetic honesty.
