Hey, Potterheads, brace yourselves for some serious nostalgia! Almost 15 years after the final Harry Potter film - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - premiered in 2011, some of our favorite Weasley siblings have come together for a sweet reunion. Oliver Phelps, who brought the mischievous Fred Weasley to life in all eight films, shared a delightful snap on Instagram that’s got fans buzzing.
In the photo, Oliver is joined by his real-life twin brother James Phelps, who played the equally cheeky George Weasley, and the lovely Bonnie Wright, known to us all as their on-screen sister, Ginny Weasley. Captioned simply as “Family dinner in Baltimore,” the post is a playful nod to their iconic sibling bond from the wizarding world. Could this trio get any cuter?
While this mini-reunion warmed our hearts, it was a small gathering of the sprawling Weasley clan. Notably absent were the on-screen parents, Julie Walters as the fierce Molly Weasley and Mark Williams as the lovable Arthur Weasley. We can only imagine how epic it would’ve been to see Molly’s signature scolding or Arthur’s Muggle fascination at the table!
Other siblings from the Burrow didn’t make it to Baltimore either. Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), and Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) were missing from the cozy dinner. And for those wondering about Charlie Weasley, the dragon-taming middle child from J.K. Rowling’s books, he unfortunately never made it to the big screen in any of the film adaptations.
This intimate get-together has us reminiscing about the magic of the Harry Potter series and the tight-knit family vibes of the Weasleys. Seeing Oliver, James, and Bonnie together again is like flipping through a cherished photo album - it’s a reminder of how much these characters (and actors!) mean to us.
“Seeing the Weasley siblings reunite, even just a few of them, feels like coming home to Hogwarts,” said a longtime fan on social media, echoing the sentiments of many.
While we’d love to see the entire Weasley family - and maybe even a few Hogwarts pals - join in next time, this Baltimore dinner is a little spark of magic we didn’t know we needed. Here’s hoping for more reunions, and maybe a butterbeer toast or two, in the future!
