The couple's love story began at a Gladiators Live event in Sheffield, where Taylor, an Exeter native, caught Jamie's eye. According to Taylor, her job was a significant factor in their split. "It was my job. That’s what it came down to for him. Me taking selfies would be a problem," she shared with The Sun.

She further detailed the breakup, describing how Jamie ended things over the phone, following up with a text she likened to "the minutes of a meeting." The pair attempted to reconcile, but the on-and-off dynamic proved too stressful for both.

Jamie, now based in Derby, shared his side of the story, noting that Taylor’s career was just one of several factors. "Taylor's job was one consideration, but it wasn't the only reason the relationship ended," he explained. With personal challenges stemming from his divorce and the uncertain future with Gladiators, Jamie found himself reassessing his priorities.

"As with any new relationship, you learn what works for you both as time goes on. I have a lot of respect for Taylor and genuinely wish her the best," he added, showing a mature perspective on their time together.
