Vanessa Herr isn't your typical OnlyFans creator. Before she was strutting down the runway at major fashion events, she served nine years in the US Army National Guard, even deploying to Afghanistan. "I think most fans would be surprised that I'm a veteran and that I've deployed to an actual combat zone," Vanessa shared with Need To Know. "It's not something I normally talk about."

By summer 2023, Vanessa decided to take content creation seriously, a decision that would eventually lead her to a life of glamour and financial freedom.

Before making it big online, Vanessa was juggling multiple jobs – from military service to waitressing – barely making ends meet. Her leap into content creation came during a turbulent time in her personal life, but she embraced the challenge.

"When I found out what was going on, I decided that I would start creating and selling my own content," she recounted.

Thanks to her marathon Instagram Live sessions, Vanessa's following skyrocketed from a mere 700 to over 100,000 in less than a year. Now, she's not just making a name for herself online; she's also supporting her family by paying off debts and transforming their financial situation.

A Glamorous Yet Grounded Lifestyle

Today, Vanessa lives in a luxurious penthouse, travels the globe, and collaborates with top creatives in the fashion industry. Yet, despite her glamorous online persona, she insists her real-life style is more casual.

"Contrary to my image on social media where I'm always in as little as possible, in real life I bring a very Adam Sandler, Post Malone, Billie Eilish vibe to the function," Vanessa said. "Most of the time I wear baggy sweats and a hoodie."

Looking to the future, Vanessa's ambitions go beyond content creation. She dreams of purchasing and developing land to create a family compound, seeking a life "completely removed from the matrix."

Her advice to aspiring creators is simple: "Not everyone is your friend and that's okay. Vet who you work with and definitely make sure to check the references when it comes to working with photographers."
