Evan Seinfeld, famed for his gritty vocals and bass lines with Biohazard, has always been a man of surprises. Known for breaking barriers in the hardcore music scene, Seinfeld took an unexpected turn in the 2000s when he ventured into the adult film industry. As reported by MetalInjection, Seinfeld candidly shared his reasons for this career pivot in a recent interview with Metal Hammer. He explained that it was primarily a business decision, capitalizing on his keen understanding of the adult market during a pre-streaming era.
“I made more money in the first three years of the porn business than I made in 20 years of playing in Biohazard," Seinfeld revealed. "At the time, there was no Pornhub. People were paying for it, and sex is the most primal instinct we have.”
Seinfeld's journey into adult films coincided with his romance with Tera Patrick, a prominent figure in the industry. From their meeting in 2001 until their divorce in 2009, Seinfeld not only participated in the films but also embraced the creative process wholeheartedly. "It was entirely unintentional because I met my second wife, Tera Patrick, who was a huge star, and we fell in love," he shared. The experience, though unexpected, was met with enthusiasm by Seinfeld, who describes himself as an exhibitionist.
Even after stepping away from on-screen performances, Seinfeld continued to influence the adult entertainment landscape. He launched the IsMyGirl platform, aimed at empowering performers to create and sell their own content directly to fans, essentially laying the groundwork for what platforms like OnlyFans would later become. Despite leaving Biohazard in 2011 for personal reasons, Seinfeld's passion for innovation remained steadfast. Following the band's disbandment in 2016, they reunited in 2022, bringing him back into the fold, much to the delight of fans.
