Denise Richards' former spouse, Aaron Phypers, is making headlines as he petitions the court for immediate spousal support. Their highly publicized divorce has been anything but smooth, with Phypers claiming his financial stability is in jeopardy. According to documents accessed by Page Six, he cites disruptions in his business operations since late 2024 as a major factor impacting his income.
Phypers insists that despite an ongoing criminal case and a dramatic domestic violence arrest in October, he deserves temporary spousal support. He contends it's essential for maintaining financial fairness during litigation. He filed these requests in a Los Angeles court, emphasizing that temporary support should focus on need and ability to pay rather than fault or property division.
“Temporary support focuses primarily on need and ability to pay, not final fault determinations or ultimate property division,” Phypers noted in his court documents, urging the judge to ensure "equitable interim conditions.”
Beyond the spousal support request, Phypers is also seeking a share of Richards' OnlyFans earnings. He claims a right to 50% of the income, alleging that Richards' account makes up to $300,000 monthly. Phypers argues that he contributed significantly to her OnlyFans presence by taking photographs that she uses on the platform.
Moreover, Phypers believes he's entitled to compensation for his involvement in Richards' reality show, "Denise Richards & Her Wild Things," claiming he hasn’t received any earnings from the production. Richards, however, countered in January by asking a judge to deny his claims due to a missed deadline for an updated income declaration.
Phypers' financial woes have been mounting. He claimed in October that he was financially desperate, struggling to pay rent and other expenses. This situation escalated in December when both Richards and Phypers faced eviction from their Calabasas home due to $84,000 in unpaid rent.
The once-happily married couple, who wed in 2018 and parted ways in 2025, have seen their relationship take a tumultuous turn. Richards secured a permanent restraining order against Phypers in November, with ongoing criminal charges still looming over him. As the legal battle continues, both sides await the court's next move in this high-stakes divorce drama.
