A Night to Forget: Maria's Terrifying Encounter

In an eye-opening interview, Maria Kovalchuk, former OnlyFans model, revisits the horrifying night she found herself abandoned in Dubai with a broken spine. The ordeal, which occurred last March, began with what seemed like an ordinary night out, but quickly spiraled into a nightmare.

Maria recalled missing a flight and ending up mingling with a group of affluent young adults. Two men and two women in the group were partying with alcohol and illicit substances, trying to coerce her into joining their revelry. Maria told MailOnline, “I explained that I didn’t want to participate and their behaviour quickly became aggressive. It was apparent they wanted me under the influence so I would do sexual things with them. They treated me like an object. They said, ‘You belong to us, we can do what we want.’”

“After some time, they started partying. There was alcohol and illegal substances and they tried to get me to join in,” she confessed.

Her refusal to partake led to a violent turn of events, culminating in an assault that left Maria waking up in a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Surviving Against the Odds

Maria's injuries were severe: fractured vertebrae, multiple broken limbs, and a disfigured face. Her mother recounted, "A knife cut her face and scalped her. It was done with a knife from the centre of the head all the way down to the eye, and the hair was cut off."

Waking up bedridden, Maria was plunged into confusion and despair. "I woke up, bedridden, and my mind immediately spiraled into terrible thoughts. I didn’t understand at all what was happening," Maria recalled. The psychological trauma was intense, as she struggled to regain a sense of reality, even unable to recognize her own mother during a video call.

Justice Still Out of Reach

Despite a thorough investigation by Dubai authorities, the case concluded that Maria had fallen from a height at a restricted construction site while alone. The four individuals Maria identified were released without charges. The situation worsened as Maria received chilling threats from her attackers, vowing to harm her family.

“They contacted me and threatened to kill my family. They wrote to me, ‘Say goodbye to your family, we will find you, we will come to Norway,’” she shared. In response, Maria’s family was given panic buttons by the police for their safety, underscoring the ongoing danger they face.

Maria continues to fight through her recovery, enduring both physical and emotional scars, as the shadow of that night in Dubai looms over her life.
