If you've ever been intrigued by the iconic adult brand Fake Taxi, you're not alone. This cheeky franchise, where passengers get more than just a ride, has an unexpected backstory. Recently, Jonathan "JT" Todd, the mastermind behind this phenomenon, shared some candid insights in an interview with LadBible.
JT wasn't always in the adult entertainment business. His career journey began with ventures in solar-powered water purifiers and tech startups. However, in 2006, he co-founded YouPorn, a trailblazing adult tube site that skyrocketed to fame with 370 million visits a month, putting it among the top 30 websites globally. Managing such a colossal platform proved challenging, JT revealed, saying, "It got too big and too hard to handle." This led him to sell YouPorn and start a network of pay sites, with Fake Taxi emerging as the star attraction.
After three thrilling years in the UK, the Fake Taxi team shifted gears and moved to Prague. The reason? Quite practical, actually. "It’s not illegal to film people being paid to have sex in public, whereas it is in the UK," JT explained. But there's more – the performer pool in the UK was quite limited, so relocating to Prague with its broader European talent made perfect sense.
Casting is a key element of Fake Taxi's charm. "We look for character," JT shared. "You want it to feel real, like a movie." From drivers with charisma to performers who embody the "girl next door" vibe, diversity is celebrated. "We embrace everything. Red hair, tattoos, all shapes and sizes. Nothing’s off-limits," he added.
On the set of Fake Taxi, respect is paramount. "Especially first-timers. Everyone on location is in full support," JT emphasized. It's no wonder many crew members have been with the production for eight years or more, drawn by the respectful environment.
But the Fake Taxi experience doesn't stop with filming. The brand recently launched a cryptocurrency platform, allowing fans to interact with performers, purchase merchandise, and even book private chats. "We’re taking Fake Taxi from the backseat to the blockchain," JT quipped.
