A beautician has been convicted in the heartbreaking death of an OnlyFans model and Kim Kardashian lookalike after a botched backroom butt lift. Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, was found guilty by a San Mateo County jury on Monday for felony involuntary manslaughter in the April 2023 death of Christina Ashten Gourkani.

Gourkani, fondly referred to as Ashten G, was known for her resemblance to the reality TV superstar. She had hired Gomez to perform an illegal procedure – a gluteal silicone injection – aimed at enhancing her curves. However, Gomez lacked the medical license necessary to perform such high-risk procedures.

“It was a phone call that instantly shattered our world and will forever haunt our family,” expressed Gourkani’s family in an online statement.

The Procedure with Fatal Consequences

Gomez administered several injections, leading to catastrophic complications for the 34-year-old model. In a Bay Area hotel room, Gourkani tragically suffered cardiac arrest, and despite efforts, she passed away the following day from respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism at Mills Peninsula Hospital.

Authorities swiftly apprehended Gomez at Fort Lauderdale Airport merely hours after the incident, extraditing her to California to face trial. Now convicted, she awaits her sentencing on May 5 and could face up to seven years behind bars.

Remembering Christina Ashten Gourkani

The devastating news was a severe blow to Gourkani’s loved ones, who described her as "a caring and loving free spirit." The family recalled receiving "the tragic phone call from a family member who was frantically screaming and crying hysterically" about Ashten's critical condition.

The loss of the viral Kim K lookalike, who was celebrated for her vibrant personality and ability to light up a room, left a void in the hearts of many. A fundraiser initiated in her memory captured the sentiments of those she touched: "Ashten’s spirit is a light that will forever carry on to her loved ones around her and those that she has left behind."
