Annie Knight, a well-known OnlyFans creator, has always been open about her life in the spotlight. Recently, her mother, Karyn Knight, shared her thoughts on how her daughter's career has impacted her own social experiences. In a candid Instagram video, Annie asked her mom whether her job made things difficult socially. Karyn responded with a heartfelt admission, "I have had issues I’ve spoken to you about."

Karyn recounted a particular lunch with a group of mothers, where she faced unexpected and uncomfortable questions about Annie’s career. "A few mothers who met up with me for lunch and I thought they were being really nice... after we kind of sat for a bit and had a bit of a chat," Karyn shared. "What was the question? It was, ‘So is it like a pyramid scheme? Does she go and get school girls and get them to join?’ It was such an insult."

“I was so angry,” Karyn said. “I just said, ‘What?’ Like, ‘No, no. Of course not.’ That’s just madness.”

Navigating Misunderstandings and Finding Support

Initially, Karyn had reservations about Annie's OnlyFans pursuits, especially after discovering her daughter's career through a news story. "You didn’t tell me. I turned on my phone and there was a story online," Karyn recalled from an episode of Annie Knight – Travels with My Mother. "I was so confused and didn’t know what OnlyFans was. … Then I read the story a bit more and was like, ‘Whoa, what the hell? What the hell is going on?’”

Although Annie faced some initial hostility from her mom, she eventually found support. "You told my stepdad and then he messaged me and said, ‘Mom saw this,’” Annie described. “After that, literally from that day, you’ve been so supportive. I think it took you a while to fully… like, you didn’t want to hear about it at the start. Whereas now I’m like, ‘Mom I have a collab today.’ And you’re like, ‘Oh, was it good? Did you have fun?’”

Overcoming Criticism and Embracing Positivity

Despite some negative comments on social media, Annie assures that her mom is proud of her. "A lot of people comment on my Instagram posts, and they’re like, ‘What would your mother say about this?’ Or, you know, ‘Your mother must be proud,’” Annie explained. “It’s like, well, actually, yeah, she’s pretty proud.”

Karyn realized engaging with online critics wasn’t worth the effort. "I would initially ‘fight back’ in the comments section, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that was ‘not what you do,’” she admitted. Annie emphasized that the positives of her career far outweigh any negatives. "The most rewarding thing for me is to be able to give back to you because you did so much for me growing up," Annie expressed.

In a touching moment, Karyn responded proudly, "I just have to say how really proud I am of you. So proud."
