Amanda Holden and Alan Carr are making waves with their latest career contemplation. The dynamic duo has officially announced they will not be stepping into the shoes of 'Strictly Come Dancing' hosts, a position vacated by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. Fans of the BBC hit show had their hopes dashed when Alan, known for his engaging performance on 'Celebrity Traitors', turned down the hosting gig due to conflicting commitments with his stand-up tour.
On the other hand, Amanda, a beloved fixture on 'Britain's Got Talent', confirmed the decision during a candid chat on the 'Table Manners' podcast. When asked directly if they would be hosting 'Strictly', Alan quipped, "No, we said no ages ago."
"I want to say now that me and Alan are 100 per cent not doing Strictly," Amanda declared on her Heart Breakfast show, putting the rumors to rest.
While their decision might disappoint some, Amanda and Alan are far from taking it easy. Alan hinted at a possible return of his popular 'Chatty Man' series, though he noted, "no one's approached me or anything." Meanwhile, Amanda teased the idea of pursuing an unusual new venture, joking about the potential fortune to be made on OnlyFans – specifically in the niche market of foot content.
Alan jested about showcasing his "lovely feet" on the platform, while Amanda humorously countered that her own feet are better kept under wraps, likening them to "sausages that have been hit by a mallet."
Apart from their entertaining quips, Amanda and Alan have also been making strides in property renovation. Their show, 'Amanda and Alan's Italian Job', saw them transform properties across Europe, with proceeds benefiting charities like Children in Need and Comic Relief. Their latest adventures have whisked them away to sun-drenched Corfu for 'Alan and Amanda's Greek Job', inspired by Amanda's love for Greek holidays.
As Amanda shared, "As a country we love it, I holiday there every year, Alan and I have holidayed there. We were fantasizing, saying oh, wouldn't it be amazing if we could do a show in Greece... we never actually thought it would be a reality!"
