Tatiana Elizabeth, a notable black model, has raised serious accusations against white influencer Lauren Blake, claiming that Blake's apology for using Elizabeth's body in a social media photo lacks sincerity. The photo in question depicted Blake's face superimposed onto Elizabeth's body in an image from the 2024 US Open in New York but was mislabeled as being from the recent Miami Open.
Blake, who is also an OnlyFans model, initially took full responsibility for the mix-up, attributing the incident to an AI content system used by her team. "This came from an A.I. content system my team uses to generate images at scale," Blake told TMZ. "I did not see the original image or intentionally set out to copy anyone's work, but that doesn't change the outcome."
"I don't think it's coming from a sincere place," Elizabeth remarked about Blake's apology. "I think she just wants the situation to blow over and to get back to scheduled programming."
Despite Blake's attempts to make amends by removing the post and reaching out to Elizabeth, the model remains unconvinced. "I don't think she was honest. I don't think she is authentic in her apology," Elizabeth stated. She expressed her frustration with Blake's perceived lack of accountability, emphasizing the broader issue of black women not receiving due respect and recognition.
Elizabeth shared her disappointment with the situation, pointing out that the image used by Blake was from a memorable occasion when she was invited to the US Open by Serena Williams. The image, intended to capture a significant moment in Elizabeth's career, was nearly identical to the one posted by Blake, down to the details of her outfit and accessories.
Blake, who also occasionally works as a ringside reporter for DAZN, has vowed to take more responsibility moving forward. "I will have more oversight with my agency to ensure my content is handled with the integrity and respect it deserves," she said.
The incident highlights ongoing discussions about originality and respect within the creative community, especially concerning the use of AI technology. As influencers and creators navigate these challenges, the importance of authenticity and respect for original work remains paramount.
